My Way Back Home

I’ve been drowning in a cold dark ocean, I’ve been sailing on the sea

I’ve been lost in deep denial, pretending to be free

I met kindness and hostility in the places that I roamed

But I still can’t seem to find my way back home

You know, I still can’t seem to find my way back home

I still can’t seem to find my way back home

I’ve been walking in a forest, I’ve been running up the hill

I’ve been parched in a blazing desert and I’ve drunk til I had my fill

I’ve been a lover and a fighter and ended up with broken bones

But I still can’t seem to find my way back home

You know, I still can’t seem to find my way back home

I still can’t seem to find my way back home

Well, if home is where the heart is, so why is my one broken

We learned to co-exist when truer words were spoken

When you talk to me with lies I feel my spirit choking

Look me in the eye, don’t offer me a token

I’ve been walking on a straight path, I’ve been breaking all the rules

I’ve been wrong and I’ve been very right, but I’m still nobody’s fool

I’ve been staring at the stars for a compass when I was out there on my own

But I still can’t seem to find my way back home

You know, I still can’t seem to find my way back home

I still can’t seem to find my way back home
